The Faculty of Humanities is guided by the idea of general humanistic education and liberalism, continuing the tradition of artes liberales – the liberal arts cultivated at European medieval universities. Liberal arts can be understood as an introduction to the art of freedom. In this spirit, the faculty offers studies in philosophy, history, social sciences, languages, and arts – all in one integrated curriculum.
