Second Faculty of Medicine

The Second Faculty of Medicine has historical roots in the Faculty of Paediatrics. While we now provide comprehensive education in all medical fields, our curriculum still retains an expanded focus on paediatrics. Students gain in-depth exposure to various paediatric specialisations, facilitated by the connection with Motol University Hospital – the biggest clinical facility in the country and one of the biggest in all Europe. As one of the smaller faculties, we offer a favourable teacher-to-student ratio and an individual approach, enhancing the quality of education. This creates tighter, almost family-style community, and influences the teaching methods featuring smaller study circles.
