Annotation

Graduates of the specialization Studies of Contemporary Societies are oriented in contemporary sociological and social-scientific academic production and are able to understand global, complex and increasingly faster processes of transformation and diversification of late modern societies. They understand the processes through which existing and newly emerging forms of social inequalities are reproduced. Thanks to their familiarity with a rich plethora of qualitative and quantitative methodological approaches to explore social reality and thanks to the solid theoretical knowledge, the graduates are able to analyze social phenomena in the context of the social importance of media, digital technologies, and at the same to consider the politicization of those social spheres, whose nature differs from a traditional understanding of politics.
