Annotation

A graduate of the PhD. programme in Czech History has gained a global knowledge of historical events and processes in their broadest context with an emphasis on the heuristic, documentary, theoretical, interpretive, and argumentative work. The graduates work systematically and precisely, are able to generalise and creatively apply theoretical and methodological inspirations. They conduct independent, creative scientific activities in the field of Czech history in the European context whose results are conveyed to the professional and non-academic public. They are prepared to find employment at science-and-research and history institutes and universities, while also being qualified to perform highly demanding professional work in the state administration, in various civil society forums, all types of media, in the domain of culture etc.
